Molchan Marine Sciences provided project management and technical support to MAPC with two separate projects within the DDG-1000 program for the General Dynamics team. The two projects include, Personnel Safety Barrier (PSB) Actuators and Turning Gear. MAPC is responsible for manufacturing all actuators of the Personnel Safety Barrier’s that surround the aft flight deck of the DDG-1000. Molchan Marine Sciences provided the technical writing of the CONOPS for the PSB Actuators coordinating and communicating with both the team engineers and shop manufacturers. Molchan Marine Sciences also acted as project manager and writer of the test plans and procedures for the PSB Actuators. MAPC and MacTaggart Scott are jointly responsible for building the control box and turning gear (respectively) for DDG-1000 General Dynamics team. Molchan Marine Sciences provided technical writing support for the CONOPS of the Turning Gear.
